PT701. The FKBP5 variant rs1360780 modulates functional network connectivity in a non-demented elderly Han population

چکیده
s | 55 Conclusions: The Klüver–Bucy syndrome mostly occur after bilateral temporal lobe damage. It also results from disruption of pathways connecting between the dorsomedial thalami and other limbic areas which essential for cognitive functions, such as memory and regulation of impulses and emotions. In this case, it damaged the limbic system by involvement of bilateral basal ganglion, instead of direct lesions on the temporal lobe.

The common functional FKBP5 variant rs1360780 is associated with altered cognitive function in aged individuals
The common single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs1360780 (C/T) of the FK506 Binding Protein 5 (FKBP5) gene has been reported to be associated with an altered response of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis and the development of stress-related psychiatric disorders such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In the present study, we examined whether this SNP is associated with cogn...

BACKGROUND Polymorphisms in the FK506 binding protein 5 (FKBP5) gene have been shown to influence glucocorticoid receptor sensitivity, stress response regulation, and depression risk in traumatized subjects, with most consistent findings reported for the functional variant rs1360780. In the present study, we investigated whether the FKBP5 polymorphism rs1360780 and lifetime history of major dep...
متن کاملInfluence of FKBP5 polymorphism and DNA methylation on structural changes of the brain in major depressive disorder
A single nucleotide polymorphism of rs1360780 in the FKBP5 gene is associated with a predisposition to developing major depressive disorder (MDD). We investigated the interactive effects of FKBP5 rs1360780 allelic variants, DNA methylation, and the diagnosis of MDD on structural changes of the entire brain. One hundred and fourteen patients with MDD and eighty-eight healthy controls underwent T...
متن کاملAssociation of FKBP5 polymorphisms and resting-state activity in a frontotemporal–parietal network
The FKBP5 polymorphism is a key regulator of the glucocorticoid system underpinning stress responsivity, and risk alleles can increase vulnerability for developing posttraumatic stress disorder. To delineate the specific role of FKBP5 risk alleles unencumbered by the confounds of psychopathology, this study investigated whether high-risk alleles of the FKBP5 polymorphism are characterized by di...

Context: The FKBP5 gene product regulates glucocorticoid receptor (GR) sensitivity and hypothalamic‐ pituitary‐adrenal axis functioning, and has been associated with a number of stress‐related psychiatric disorders. The study of intermediate phenotypes, such as emotion‐processing biases and their neural substrates, provides a way to clarify the mechanisms by which FKBP5 dysregulation mediates p...
